I found out about this community a few weeks ago while I was just exploring the steemit platform and i decided to join cos I'm a fan of football and this is a platform which will allow me to express my views on football. I am here now to introduce myself to this wonderful community and hopefully I'll be accepted and validated. I'll also show you that i understand some basic concepts of this wonderful community.
About me
Hello once again, my name is Justice, I'm a football lover and a fan of Manchester united of the English premier league i joined this community out of the love i have for football. I'm a student of Imo state university, Owerri and I'm almost through with my studies there. Currently I live in Owerri, but my parents and the rest of my family are living in Lagos. I started watching football from a very young age,( that's during the time CR7 was still in Manchester united). I came to love Manchester united because of one of my uncles. My dad is a Barcelona fan, while my sister and brother are both Chelsea fans and then, my Mom is a Ronaldo fan, she just supports only Ronaldo and any team he's in, so right now she's a Juventus fan.
What I intend to create in this community
Well, all I have in mind to create is nothing other than football related articles, which includes the following;
- Match analysis
- Player analysis
- Team analysis
- Sport news.
Content Etiquette
To me this is simply giving honor to other authors whose work you are making use of. When you have someone's work in your article it's not enough just to input the person's name but to place a link to the main article which you got the piece from.
What is plagiarism?
To me it's theft. It's stealing someone else's ideas or content and passing it off like its your own. Well i hope to avoid plagiarism by giving proper reference to articles gotten from other people's work.
Copyright abuse
This is the use of a copyright protected material without the permission of the copyright holder and therefore take some privileges meant for the copyright holder.
Where to find copyright free images
There are various sources where we can get copyright free images. These are images which are free to use by anyone without any underlying conditions/consequences.
We can find copyright free images in the following websites;
How to get copyright free images; well it takes just a few processes which are as follows;
- First you need to choose your preferred search engine and input the name of the image you're looking for. In this case I'll be using Google.
- After that a list of related materials will pop up the you have to click on the images section so as to select an image.
- Before selecting an image, you have to first confirm if its free for all to use. So you go over to the tools icon at the top right corner of your screen and click on it and the select the creative Commons from the drop down menu.
- After that the images shown will be that of creative Commons. You can check the license details of the image by clicking on the license information icon at the bottom of the screen. This will lead you to another page showing you the license details of the image
For proper citation, you should do something like this;

Consequences of plagiarism
Well generally, you could get a huge fine or even prison sentence. While in this platform, you could be banned from this community after not heeding to the warnings.
