Brazil clinches Olympic Gold in tokyo

Brazil faced Spain in a match which promised to be a mouth watering encounter, and it indeed lived up to the hype.

Build up to the finals, Brazil won a thrilling encounter by beating mexico in a penalty shoot out, while Real Madrid star Marco Asensio hit a stunner to help Spain beat japan on extra time, setting up what promised to be a world class final.

The match started on a positive note on Saturday for Brazil as just after 34 minutes of play Matheus Cunha of Brazil was fouled by Unai Simon in the penalty area, giving Brazil a clear chance to take the lead.
But Richarlison stepped up to shoot the ball too high.
Nevertheless, brazil took the lead a few minutes later as Matheus Cunha found the bottom right conner coursety an assist from Dani Alves just in the nick of half time.

At the begining of extra time goal scorer Matheus Cunha was replaced by malcom, a gamble which payed off in the second half of extra time as Malcom's left footed shot from a difficult angle found the top right conner assisted by Antony.

Malcom came off the bench to make the difference in a match that could have gone either ways.
