The Ex Aresnal man Sanchez Watt was wrongly sent off after the referee thought he was been disrespectful.
How did it happen
In a clash between Hemel Hempstead town and East Thurrock United, Sanchez Watt was involved in what might seem like the greatest football story.
The formal Arsenal starlet who netted the second goal of the game earlier, got into trouble when he had kicked the ball away. The official Dean Hulme in a bid to get him into the books asked for his name and Sanchez replied 'Watt'' three times, but the referee who had thought he was saying "What" sent him off.
The striker in recounting what happened said;
he asked for my name and i said 'Watt!'. He pointed at me and said, i'm gonna ask one more time, what's your name?' And i said 'watt'. He goes that's it! And took out the red card. I said, what!, you can't send me off for saying my name! He said, off you get.
The confusion had happened because there was no surname on the shirts of the players, but fortunately for Watt as he was heading to the dressing room, team captain Jordan Parkes stepped in to explain to the referee that the Ex- gunner man was actually called 'Watt' and then the decision was subsequently changed back to a yellow.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I guess the referee was not expecting a name like that.
It could also be that he did not mentioned it well so he thought he was saying what!
Bad decision though from the referee but cant be changed.
