N'Golo Kante is a French professional footballer who was born in Paris, France on March 29, 1991. He is a defensive midfielder who wears the number 7 jersey. He is currently a Chelsea player. This French midfielder is known for his aggressive style of play, pace, and ability to win balls.

On May 18, 2012, Kante made his professional debut for the French association football club Boulogne. On August 10, 2012, he scored his first professional goal for this team against Luzenac. In addition, this central midfielder made his international debut for France against the Netherlands national team in March 2016.

One cannot forget Kante when he was at Leicester City. Lets look at his success at Leicester City. He was an important member of Leicester City's midfield, which helped them win their first Premier League title. He appeared in all 38 games for Caen in Ligue 2, finishing third in the league and eventually making it to Ligue 1, where he was a key player. He was the sole reason for Leicester City's success in the Premier League.

The Breakthrough

Steve Walsh, who facilitated the transfers of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez to Premier League club Leicester City, scouted Kante for the team. He was identified as Esteban Cambiasso's successor. He signed a four-year deal with Leicester on August 3, 2015, for an undisclosed fee of €8 million . He was named among the PFA Team of the Year in April, along with four other Leicester stars. Kante had 175 tackles and 157 interceptions by the end of the 2015–16 Premier League season, putting him in first place among defensive players. He won his first premier league title at Leicester City.

Kante joined Chelsea for a record fee of £32 million on July 16, 2016. Kante said after signing a five-year deal with the club

Kante was named among the PFA Team of the Year for the second season in a row on April 20. He went on to win the PFA Player of the Year award, the FWA Footballer of the Year award, and the Premier League Player of the Season award. Kanté is the first player since Eric Cantona in 1993 to win back-to-back Premier League titles with two different clubs in England.

His biggest breakthrough in world of football was his contribution to the France national team to win the world cup which was played in Russia in 2018. Kante also played in France's 4–2 victory over Croatia in the tournament final. His team mates sang songs of praises for him.
