Since I was a child I could have soccer idols, many players of which I can quote and make a bibliography; A long list of excellent athletes with inspiring stories, players as strikers, midfielders, defenders and even goalkeepers and is that soccer gives you the opportunity to have many idols, examples to follow and that's why I decided to make a bibliography of a player who is that, an example to follow, Alessandro Del Piero, mythical striker of the Juventus of Turin and the Italian national team, champion of almost everything with his team, but he won the most important thing a soccer player can have, a UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup; Now I will make this bibliography in a different way and I will not talk about his beginnings but from the moment I saw him play for the first time until the end of his career.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 1996

In 1996 I saw for the first time a game of UCL, it was the final between Juventus and Ajax, a very disputed and even game between both clubs which were differences between young players and full of experience, this exciting game finished in its regulation and extra time with the tie of a goal by side and everything was left to the luck in the penalties of which those that would not fail would be the Italians and it is so with only the age of 22 years it would already obtain the maximum title that a club of Europe can obtain. Del Piero with all the confidence gained with the coach Marcello Lippi, was above established players and was given all the weight to be the leader of one of the biggest teams in Italy and the world and he would respond with goals and titles.

The Injury

In the year 1998 Alessandro would suffer a serious injury that would mark him for a long time, I have vague memories about that injury which for a long time I thought he had suffered a fracture of the Tibia-Fibula, but in reality he suffered a rupture of the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, that would leave him out for a time of 9 months, for me it was a complete year and when he returned he was no longer the same, it seemed that he played with fear and it was a real pity because he was still a very young player for that time; He wasn't fast, he wasn't dangerous in attack and he seemed to be very unmotivated and he was like that for another year, playing at a very low level, receiving a lot of criticism for his performance and it wasn't until the return of Lippi that he showed again the level that he had some time ago. The Juventus and Del Piero were dominant in the local turner where the other teams became very strong, many DT's passed by and faced many rivals, unfortunately he could never win again the maximum competition.

"I accept the punishment"

Juve played the 2006-2007 season in the B Series. a scandal about the game arrangement led the Turin club to play in a minor category with a nationalization of 17 points less, Del Piero led a small group of players who decided to stay and do their best to return to Juve where they belong and they succeeded, Not only did they get the necessary points but they even came out champions of that division and from that moment Alessandro Del Piero got the name of a legend, he didn't care about the status he had, he didn't care about the titles won or the offers from other teams, what he wanted was to see again the club he loves being on top and that's how it was, all thanks to the great effort of him and his teammates.

World Champion

In the FIFA World Cup, held in Germany in 2006, Del Piero would be part of those called by the DT Marcello Lippi, again these two great friends would meet and yes there was an important appointment between soccer and Alessando, who more than Lippi to witness it, this would be the third and last time that these two men of soccer would join together to make history not in a club but in the selection of his country. For that World Cup I believe that no Italian player arrived in his highest physical performance, but even so Lippi created a competitive team, they played games against rivals that were not very difficult and it was until the semifinals that they faced nothing more and nothing less than the host of that World Cup, the German selection that came very full of confidence, in that encounter Del Piero would score his only goal thanks to an exceptional counter-attack with a pass from Gilardino; Alessandro would score one of the best goals I could see in that tournament, that day I could see the emotion of a player who has suffered from an injury that did not let him grow as he should have, but at that moment I also saw that his determination to reach the proposed goals never diminished and that is how in the end he along with the whole Italian team would get the world championship in a very disputed final between Italy and France.

The Retirement

Source

Del Piero retired in 2011 from Juventus, he would play a little more in Australia where he would later serve as a commentator and I think that during this time he does it in other sports television networks; the day he retired from Juve was in a full field where fans chanted his name and remembered everything he has given to the club, for me it was something unique and very exciting because as a player and person he was the best, his behavior was always appropriate, he was someone that new generations can see and learn and that for me is very important. I always believed that he was disrespected by never being taken into account to obtain individual premises because his way of playing was special and in reality he was an important player with a great vision to play and make play and in these present times, I believe that a player like him would stand out a lot. I want to thank the people of "World Of Football " for creating this contest and I invite everyone to participate, here are the rules FOOTBALL BIOGRAPHY CONTEST.
