Hello steemians,

The Manchester United game vs Wolverhampton Wanderers taught us quite a lot about the future of the team as a whole. The now famous gengenpressing being utilized by Ralf Ragnick's Man United team has proven to be their long awaited solution since the departure of the interim manager, Michael Carrick.

But just like any other tactic in world football, it has its downsides too. I think this United is far better than before looking at how they played in sync for their recent matches.

Seeing them play that way reminded me quite a lot about how effective this particular tactic worked last season. Man United mostly dominated their matches by pressing the opposition as high as possible. That way as soon as they opened up, they could easily get them on the counter.

This went quite well for them and to be honest, it is the only approach I see working with this current Man United.

The character that has been built by the current coach is quite awesome and must keep pushing as hard as he can to maintain the momentum. Pressing up high always forces the opposition to commit mistakes and offers room to thrive on such mistakes.

This is what makes teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City great since they understand the attacking side of it too. United is still trying to figure out the cohesiveness part of the team which is still underway.

But I think they need to consider referring to the playbooks of coaches like Guardiola and Klopp and see what they can pick up there too. I believe the United team have the players to pull it off.

Ralf Ragnick is doing a pretty good job. But he still needs to put on some finishing touches in order to completely be on top of his game.
