Greetings everyone,

The time for one of the most exciting leagues in the world of football will be here shortly. The first game is expected to feature Brentford against Arsenal on the 24 August, 2021. Brentford will have something to prove now that they have been promoted from the Championship group to the EPL after finishing third in the table.

The gunners now more than ever can't afford to lose this one even though they were very off color in the previous season of the league after finishing 8th on the leader board. Limited budget for the team's signings has made transfer news a bit dull in their domain. However, if Ben White's deal pull's through, they could get a good support in their midfield which could be to their advantage.

Another promising team I am looking forward to seeing is West Ham United. They had a pretty good run during the previous season due to the good form of most of their top forwards like Antonio and Jesse Lingard. I think Arsenal will need a really good forward to replace him should they fail to sign him this summer.

I think the Big Six in the league are still going to dominate it this time round looking at the form teams like Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool completed with. If Chelsea is able to secure a great striker like Haaland they are pursuing at the moment, they could be tough to beat.

For now, no one can tell with absolute certainty but if you have good players on your side with good understanding of each other's movement, you stand a great chance of doing well.

I can't wait for the commencement of next season. See you soon 😎✌

Sort Order:

My expectations... 🤔

  1. Mike Dean will continue to make awful decisions
  2. VAR will support Mike Dean in making awful decisions
  3. I will continue to get a large number of injuries in my FPL team.

I think some of Mike Dean's epic mistakes are already in the record books 😂😅

I will continue to get a large number of injuries in my FPL team.

I will try and see if I can keep up with FPL. Hopefully I can do well this time round.

It was impressive how few times that VAR was criticised throughout the entire European Championships - fewer times than a single Premier League match. It makes me wonder how the Premier League can get it so wrong!

I've created a Steemit League for FPL, come and join in 🙂

I am looking forward to the start of the English league.

It promises a lot from a footballing point of view and starting from their respective teams.

Since you mention West Ham United, I think they can be a surprise this season if they keep up the pace of play.

Greetings, my brother.

Looking forward to some great games in the coming gameweeks :)

It would be interesting to see Haaland with Chelsea, if Chelsea went as far as last season where they were champions of the Champions League, I think that with Haaland they will get solidity, without fear of being wrong they can be better than Manchester City and Liverpool .

That's certainly true. Haaland would surely propel Chelsea's forward by adding a complete striker and finisher.
