Mikel Arteta (Arsenal Coach) did not rest players, he used the first eleven he is suppose to use, he even played Emrick Aubameyang that he bench on Sunday that Arsenal versus Tottenham Hotspur of which I didn't expect, I expect him to rest players since he already had 3 goals but as a sensible coach, he know that anything can happen
But despite how much he used all these players, he still lost the lost the match but he didn't lost the qualification to the semi final. Mikel Arteta know that anything can happen and this Olympiacos Arsenal played with is the one that sent Arsenal out of Europa League last season at round of 32 where Arsenal won first leg but Olympiacos later won with aggregate in the second leg. Maybe this is what Mikel Arteta think which makes him not to rest any player
If Arsenal didn't have enough goal in the first leg, Olympiacos might win with aggregate but due to the 3 away goals Arsenal had, Arsenal qualify since Olympiacos didn't have more than just one away goals. But if Olympiacos have two goals in the second leg, Arsenal cannot qualify because the aggregate would be 3 goals due to the goal Olympiacos had in the first leg but it is just two goals they had in both first leg and second leg and Arsenal have 3 goals
If Arsenal didn't play like they mean business, Olympiacos might win with aggregate yesterday but the away goal saved Arsenal
Aubameyang was benched against Spurs for turning up late on the day of the game - not for the 1st time. So Arteta dropped him.
