When the football season is over, fans are not always happy because they would not get to see their favorite teams play anymore and then there wouldn't be anymore arguments about which club is better and which player is better. Even though there is national football and other sporting activities, they do not particularly fill the void that club football feels.

This is why fans are always happy even when the pre-season is about to start, what we normally call the club friendly's.
Even though they claim the pre-season games are meant to prepare the minds of players and prepare them for what they are about to face ahead I still wonder what these pre-season games are meant to do.

I ask these question because most teams do not even try to play their first team players in these matches for reason best know to them.
They end up naming lineups and involving players who will probably not he involved in first team football for the whole season.
And mostly the only regulars you see in the lineup will he the backline or the defenders because they do no easily injure themselves.

When the teams do this they end up loosing games early on in the beginning of the season and this hurts them.
Even though this doesn't particularly affect all teams but it does retard the progress of the team.

A perfect example is the season Real Madrid lost 7 -3 against Atletico Madrid in a pre-season friendly and still went on to win the laliga trophy and the super coppa for that season.
But unfortunately not all teams are like Madrid and they can't make great come back like they do.

But ultimately we can conclude that they are just organized to get funds for the season.
Because fans will come and watch these matches not caring if it is an important match or not.

If you know any other reason why pre-season matches are organized you can tell me in the comments section.
