It's a tragical story in the history of Ghanaian football Association and even Africa as a whole. This history occurred in 2nd July 2010 where South Africa from an African continent host the FIFA 2010 world cup. It's was a quarter final match between Ghana from Africa and Uruguay from South America. The two team qualified from the round of sixteen after they both beat their opponent team. It was the first time both teams met. the winner of this game will face Netherlands for the semi final.

The game kicked off exactly 20:30 and within 37 minutes in action, Uruguayan captain Diego Lugano pulled off an injury and he was substituted off. Just before half time, Ghana lead from the score by an outstanding strike from Left footed and eleven shirted man called Sulley Muntari for a long range of about 40yards. After the halft time, the game became very tough for Ghana although they were leading by a goal. Diego Forlan equalize the goal from a long range free kick sport which Richard Kingson could have done better. After the 90 minutes soccer fiesta, the game ended 1-1 so therefore, there should be extra time. The extra time begins and there no goal in the first half so there should be a second half, fortunately, Ghana had a late corner kick where Appiah sent the ball and Adiyiah headed the ball straight into the goal post but unfortunately, the Luis Suarez blocked the ball with his hands and therefore, the referee had to whistle for penalty kick and Suarez was given a straight red card. This is where the history occurred, Asamoah Gyan who always convert Ghana penalty kick into the net came for the ball but this time around, it's was saved by the crossbar of the poll. The match ended 1-1 so there should be a regular penalty shoot out. Both teams scored their penalty including Asamoah Gyan until the fourth round where Adiyiah penalty was saved by Uruguayan goal keeper Muslera. Maxi Perrr
perrera then also hit the crossbar and later John Mensah owns was also saved by Muslera.
Sabastian Abreu then converted the winner goal and the match ended in penalty spot 4-2 in favour of Uruguay. The stadium was very quiet, tears around everywhere for the Africans. After the game, Luis Suarez claimed that, he saved the game by blocking the ball with his hands so he is the real hand of God after what Maradona did in 1846 by using his hand to score a goal. This tragedical story will never be forgotten in the history of Ghana football Association and this man can never be forgotten not forgiven in the history of Ghana Football Association as soon as FIFA world cup is concerned.

I had watched this match live on TV. I am still astonished and surprised how Luis Suárez blocked the ball with his hands and saved it from going into the goalpost. The whole world really did adore Ghana, especially with the absolute character Asamoah Gyan was.
