FC BARCELONA'S 2021/22 pre-season games

The pre-season friendly match is usually played at the end of every season before the commencent of a new season.
Sometimes,the games are played as a source of fund raising scheme for the needy or to support different organisations that assit human survival.

Barcelona,having confirmed the games to be played before the start of a new season, hasn't made a decision on where the second phase of the pre-season friendlies would be played between Austria and Germany.
The friendlies begings on the 9th of July and There would be matches against Stuttgart, Villarreal,juventus and Manchester City and work has resumed at the Ciutat Esportiva de joan Gamper for a few days now.

The matches against Juventus and the Joan gamper trophy against Manchester city will serve as a tribute match to Juan Carlos Unzué,so as to raise funds in the battle to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Juan Carlos Unzué was part of the treble winning team of 2015,serving as the assistant manager to Luis Enrique between 2014-2017 and is currently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral sclerosis (ALS),A nervous system disease that weakens muscles and affects physical function.

A number of the Senior team players are out on international duties including star man Lionel Messi and new signing Sergio Aguero who are with the Argentinian National team,participating at the Copa America in Brazil.
Other players out are,Frenkie de jong,Martin Braithwait,Ousmann Dembélé,Antoine Griezmann,Jordi Alba,Pedri González and Clement Lenglet who are presently participating at the 2020 Euro with their respective national teams.

Midfielder,Sergio Busquets tested positive to covid-19 few days Before the start of the 2020 Euros and is expected to rejoin the Spanish National team squad when he fully recovers.

The pre-season friendlies would be a very crucial one for FC Barcelona and coach Ronald Koeman In preparation for a fresh season after a turbulent 2020/21 season, managing to secure only the Copa del Ray.
