#Victoria Health officials announced that a seven-day curfew will be implemented from 11:59pm tonight to contain the growing COVID-19 outbreak in the region.
In the #Latrobe #Valley Region, a seven-day curfew will begin from midnight tonight.
Eighteen cases of COVID have been reported in the region in recent days. There are at least four more cases to be added to tomorrow's numbers.
The curfews will be the same as in the city of Melbourne (except for the night curfew).
The Victorian government has announced that a seven-day curfew is required, on Health advice."A seven-day curfew is needed to limit the growth in cases, as in Ballarat and Geelong."
Ben Cowie, Deputy Chief Health Officer, said: “If you are in Latrobe City, please comply with the curfews. If you have symptoms, get tested immediately and if you haven't been vaccinated yet, get it right away.
