Berejiklian warned there would be more deaths "unless we reduce the amount of cases and increase the vaccination rate."

5 million eligible people have been vaccinated in NSW. Berejiklian said that 50 percent of the state's population eligible for the vaccine received their first dose.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that 530 thousand of the 1 million Pfizer doses procured from Poland will be distributed to Sydney's most affected local municipal areas in the coming days.
