The current radar model was created in 1935 and developed mainly in England during the Second World War and its name is the acronym for RAdio Detection And Ranging, the radar uses electromagnetic waves to measure distances, altitudes, directions and speeds of objects such as aircraft, ships or meteorological formations.
El modelo de radar actual fue creado en 1935 y desarrollado principalmente en Inglaterra durante la segunda guerra mundial y su nombre es el acrónimo de RAdio Detection And Ranging, el radar utiliza ondas electromagnéticas para medir distancias, altitudes, direcciones y velocidades de objetos como aeronaves, barcos o formaciones meteorológicas.
Electromagnetic waves bounce off objects in different ways depending on their wavelength and the shape of the target and are received back by the radar so that the position and distance of the objects that reflect them can be deduced, but the resolution is quite poor and the only thing that is reflected in the radar is a more or less fat point.

To achieve greater definition of the contacts, a group of researchers from the University of Arizona and MIT have developed a new approach to quantum radar that could increase the precision of radar systems more than previously thought using the property of quantum mechanics known as quantum entanglement.

By means of this property, if we have two entangled photons, any change in one of the photons is instantly reflected in the other regardless of the distance that separates them, en recent decades scientists did the pertinent tests and discovered that this system managed to improve the definition up to 4 times but the process used was excessively expensive.
Mediante esta propiedad si tenemos dos fotones entrelazados cualquier cambio en uno de los fotones se ve reflejado instantáneamente en el otro independientemente de la distancia que los separe, en las últimas décadas los científicos hicieron las pruebas pertinentes y descubrieron que este sistema lograba mejorar la definición hasta 4 veces pero el proceso empleado resultaba excesivamente caro.

In recent research, scientists discovered a new system with which to improve the resolution of quantum radars by a factor of 500x, which consists of "stretching" the groups of photons that are sent to detect objects, with this new technology it could even be known the brand and model of the aircraft detected instead of a light spot.
