BUET and 26 years of my life@mostaqul-bangladesh

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) is a pioneer in engineering education in Bangladesh. The history of BUET dates back to 1876 when the Dhaka Survey School was founded. Later in 1947, it became an engineering college and gained independent university status in 1962. It is located on a compact 83.9-acre land in the heart of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. BUET is located in Palashi, Dhaka. Next to it are Dhaka University, Central Shaheed Minar, and Dhaka Medical.

BUET is a reputed educational institution in Bangladesh as well as in the world. Many students from here are working efficiently in different parts of the world after obtaining their degrees. BUET is the dream university of all students of Bangladesh. After clearing the HSC examination, the students continue to try hard to get admission to BUET. Many people are lucky to have the opportunity to study at BUET.

I joined BUET in 1997. Almost 26 years have passed. This has become a bond with BUET over 26 years. In fact, all of us at BUET are like a family. The Vice-Chancellor and Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BUET are very good people. There is no pride in them.

BUET's current administrative building is a landmark of Bangladesh. No renovation can be done on this building. This building was once a dormitory. At present, there are 9 halls in BUET. BUET offers undergraduate admission through 12 departments. Currently thinking of opening more departments.

BUET has residential facilities for teacher, Officer and staff. We live very securely within the campus. Staying at BUET campus saves us from the hustle and bustle of Dhaka city. Our BUET campus is a very quiet environment.

I joined BUET and got married. My wife also lived in BUET as a child. His father also worked in BUET. So BUET is a very special place for us. I feel safe when I enter the BUET campus when I go anywhere.

I am in charge of student admission and course registration. So I meet and talk with many students. Student usage is very good. I have never seen anything bad in their speech and manners.

One day I will retire. Have to leave the campus. But BUET will be in my heart. I will come to BUET once every month to collect my pension. I will meet my colleagues. Then maybe the old memories will be remembered.
