After completion of my BSc Nursing Degree, I got my first appointment as a nursing officer at Joseph Fraser Memorial Hospital, Colombo. Today is my 3rd day at Joseph Fraser Hospital. It was a well reputed private hospital in Sri Lanka and specialized for women and children's care. I am working here as a ward nursing officer.
As I have got my clinical training at a government hospital, this setting was new to me. Still I am learning and adjusting to this new environment. I have met new people and got new experiences for those 3 days. Actually this hospital is very attractive and surrounded by greenary environment.
When I was stepped to the hospital on my very first day I was surprised because it looks like a hotel rather than hospital. I am very happy to be here. This hospital has a unique setting and specially environment is very suit for the pregnant mothers and mothers after their deliver of the baby.

This hospital has a very great history, nearly a century. The environment provides a comfortable, relax and enjoyable feeling for patients and all the working staff. It provides luxury accomodation with form of different packages. And also there were many facilities like laboratory services, channeling facilities, opd services, baby shop and cafeteria.
So I just started my new journey as a staff nurse at Joseph Fraser Memorial Hospital and hope to work nicely with all other staff utilizing my knowledge and experiences. I am very happy about this opportunity and to be working here. I have a little bit worry about my new life in hostel as it was a newest experience for me. I think I will adjust to this new life sooner. 💙
