Today I bring you criticism of my favorite song..

This song has a deep meaning. It sang by Visharada Nanda Malini and written by Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne.

In a society, marriage is most important thing for woman. She always desires protection, care love and affections.
Separate woman in the society face lots of difficulties and acute conditions. All look at her in a bad way. This song show, kind of beg for separate and adrift women in the society.

Normally birds build their nests in a protective place. But first verse in the song tells this hen- bird built her nest in a dangerous place which having strong wind. Maybe she got that decisions without having understanding maybe she thought to face that difficulties and barriers in the life bravely.

“කෑලි කැඩි බිදී වැටෙයි- නිල් කඳු රැල්ලේ” tells, the life which she tries to build up hardly was destroyed.
Some thought this song talk about the marriage some thought it tells weak love affair still not end up with marriage.
I consider it as a marriage for further explanations…

In the next verse include “කූඩු කැඩී තැන තැන ගිය පුංචි කිරිල්ලී- දැන් ඔබ ළඟ සිටියි රුවක් විලස නොසෙල්ලී” it means, according to my vision because of some reasons the woman separated from his husband, she unable to protect her nest. Then she went here and there to find some shelter. At that time, she found hero in this song.

After that she felt in love with him. She requested his kindness and love. In the next verse show, already had some relationship between them. It proves in this verse, “යොදුන් ගණන් ඔබම සොයා ආ සියුමැල්ලී-පිළිගනු ඈ කොහි යන්ටද නැවත ඉගිල්ලී”.

She came to his life by passing long distance because she believes she has protection near him.
“පිළිගනු ඈ කොහි යන්ටද නැවත ඉගිල්ලී” within this verse, she begs accept her for his life. She told, she hadn’t any other place for live.

By considering all this thing I think this woman rejected the hero in the song at past and she married another man. But now she is a detached woman. She hadn’t her parents. Luckily, she met her fiancé, he is still single. So, he can look after this woman until end of the life.
