Hello everyone!! Today I'm talking about a little half-day trip we went on recently. Every week I have only two days off, Monday and Tuesday. So on those days we do almost all the work that we have planned. However, these two days are not enough to do the work we have planned. However, we make the most of those two days. In the end, without even knowing, those two days will end.

My wife always tells me that there is a beautiful river in her village where she wants to go for a bath. So this time we decided to go to her village because we can't listen to that every day. Wife's village is in the area called Bulathsinghala Egal Oya. We decided to visit the Pahiangala caves in that area and bathe in a river near that area.

So before we left, wife prepared a delicious food parcel. This time we decided that instead of eating at a restaurant, we would get the food parcel from home. We left the house at around 12 noon after preparing the food parcel and the clothes we needed. Since our house is located in Piliyandala area, we can travel to the area in about an hour and 30 minutes. From Piliyandala to Bulathsinghala area we travel through Horana town. Then we went to Pahiangala Cave through Eggal Oya.

On the way we found a very tasty roti shop. We ate roti from that roti shop and drank plenty. There were also Parippu Wade in that shop. They are also delicious. So after we arrived at Pahiangala, we went to that cave. You have to climb the mountain along the stairs to get to Pahiyangala cave. Then you can go to Pahiangala cave.

Pahiyangala caves belong to the prehistoric age of human evolution. These caves are named as the largest unexploded rock caves in South Asia. About 3500 people can stay here at one time. There is evidence that early humans have lived here between 35,000-60,000 years ago. There is evidence that they used sea fish, salt, and shark teeth.

So then we went to the nearby river. On the day we visited, there was not much water. So we could bathe without fear. I met a friend there by chance. After bathing, we put on new clothes and ate the food parcel we brought from home. Then around 6 in the evening we left to come home. Thus ended another beautiful journey that we both went on.
