Hello Guys , hope all of you are keeping well. So yesterday was a happy day to all cricket fans in Sri Lanka. Because yesterday started second edition of Lanka Premier League. LPL in 2020 was end up with winning Jaffna Stallions team. There 5 teams were participated to this tournament. In this edition too, the same teams teams are participate. But The names of some teams have changed a bit in this edition compared with last time. Accordingly , the previous Jaffna Stallions renamed as Jaffna Kings and Last time Colombo Kings renamed as Colombo Stars, Dambulla Vikings renamed as Dambulla Giants and Kandy tuskers renamed their named as Kandy Warriors .

So Galle Gladiators , Dambulla Giants Jaffna Kings , Colombo Stars, and Kandy Warriors will compete throughout in this tournament. In the previous edition , fans did not have a chance to watch the tournament due to Corona epidemic. But in this time allow double vaccinated spectators up to 50% stadium capacity.

Many foreign players were been scheduled to join the tournament but unfortunately finally some of them have decided not to join . Chris Gayle is also included to those players. However the first match between Galle Gladiators and Jaffna Kings teams was held in yesterday. These two teams also were competed the final in last year and the victory was gained by the Jaffna team. But this time Gladiators that led by Bhanuka Rajapakshe , got off to successful start in this tournament by beating Jaffna team by 54 runs. So I believe Gladiators will finish the tournament as the Champions.
