Hello Steemians, I hope all of you are keeping well and safety.Today I am going to share with you something about one of the most valubale place that Sri Lanka has.It is world famous SIGIRIYA.SIGIRIYA is regarded as the eighth wonder of the world.Sigiriya is situatedted in Dambulla at the central province of Sri Lanka. And also Sigiriya located in such a beautiful surrounding.

Sigiriya was built by King Kasyapa.It is an ancient rock fortress.There is an interesting historical story about the Sigiriya.If tell it in briefly, During the reign of King Dathusena , He was murdered by his son Prince Kasyapa.After King Dathusena murdered, His other son Moggallana espaed to South India to save his life. Then King Kasyapa built Sigiriya and developed complex city in there. But after King Kasyapa defeated in War with Moggallana then he committed suicide.

Sigiriya is world famous for its frescoes. Although King Kasyapa is regarded as a patricide, he was a lover of art.That's why he had created such a beautiful fortress with attractive paintings of beautiful ladies. Foreign tourists who come to Sri lanka never fail to visit Sigiriya .It is a place of Historical value. As well as we can see the graffiti or verses on the mirror wall.These verses had been written by the ancient visitors.These verses helps us to earn about the evolution and development of our language.There are nearly such 700 verses on this mirror wall.

We have to climb up the rock along steps through the mouth of a large carved lion. That's why is called "Singha Giri".The rock is 600 ft in height. In the top of the rock, has the ruins of an ancient palace. There had been a amazing technology in Siigiriya. Even though I share these things with you, I have never been to Sigiriya yet.I would love to Visit to Sigiriya as soon as I can.

I visited Sigiriya in my childhood. Only one time... I really like to visit again. After this critical condition.. I definitely travel..
