All about the Week End

Life is always good when we are enjoying it with our loved ones. The last weekend was something like that. I think you have seen several previous posts, I shared with my Childhood friends. Eventhough we are in different places, working in our fields, we still make time to meet occasionally.

On Saturday night we decided to spend a night after so many discussions.

The day was extra special as one of my closest School Friends, and also we were together in the University, came home from Australia. He is currently doing a PhD at Melbourne University in the Telecommunication Field, with a Full Scholarship. Unlike the other times, he has vacations for around one month.

You know, in Sri Lanka after the Presidential Election, Prliamant Election is approaching. It's on Tommorow and we see so many promotional campaigns, and meetings from the parties.

Anyway, in the Presidential Election there was a major shift of Power to the NPP, who were at 3% in the last Election. With that, we mainly see an one sided and lazy campaign from the Opposition. It's too early to tell the final results. But I know for sure, many new faces will be elected to the Parliamant, and red alert has already sent to the corrupted ex-MP s.

Eventhough I have a strong favor to the ruling party from the beginning, which came from my family, I hardly participate to the meetings. But one of School Teacher, who is simply amazing, a Major, currently a Principal in a National school, is electing for the first time. With that, and with many invitation from him, me and my friends, attended the Youth meeting which held on Buttala town.

It was on Saturday Morning, and many representatives from the party, professionals, and Young people participated it to show the love and support.

Anyway, after that we were on our way to the location in the evening. Have you heard about the Pelwatta Sugar company. Well, it's not just a Sugar factory, one part is producing Milk, and inside it's just like a separate village. The British people from the Colonial times, have made one hell of a place here.

It has a separate school, Hard ball and Softball Cricket Grounds stadium, Horse Race tracks, Pools, Clubs, quarters and other Guest locations as well. So, there were 9 of us, and from a internal connection we booked a house with some other facitlities.

We arrived there at around 05. p.m. As many of us were sports enthusiasts first we enjoyed in different games. There was a Pool Table, Badminton Court, Carrom Boards, and Table Tennis set up as well. It was a very productive afternoon after all.

Before heading to the night function, we didn't forget to enjoy the open Pool, at around 20.. p.m. There were just us, and we had a amazing fun as well.

When coming home my friend, he didn't forget to something for us from the Duty Free. Infact he brought two. The Monkey Shoulder is a blended malt Scotch whisky, which is perfect in every way, than the local brands. Anyway it was a bit expensive.

Ironically there was the second T20I match between Sri Lanka and NZ on the same day. So, it was a perfect combination, with all the things to catch up, and late night discussions, Music and Dance.

We spend the night there and went home in the next day Morning. So, it was love moment after all.
