After my last review of The Wire ( 2002–2008), I thought to share one another masterpiece that I watched earlier. The series was created by David Chase, and aired on HBO from 1999 to 2007 for six seasons. It belongs to Crime Genre, touching aspects of family, psychology of a New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano. Unlike The Wire, Sopranos mainly focus around Tony and his lifestyle.
Anyway, this can considered as one of the best TV Series of all time, probably the best in that era with tons of Awards, and praise. The show may narrate a bit slow, but if you are a fan of good story here is very-well written 86 Episodes.

In IMDB, with a rating of 507K votes, it has received 9.2/10. As you can see below, only 04 received a vote of less than 08. Well, that speaks volumes about the entire setting.

As I said earlier the show centers around Tony Soprano, an Italian-American mobster in New Jersey. He is the leader of this mob family, and there are his closest captains and friends of the organization. These guys are just the pros in the business, well organized, disciplined, and running the area. I will not spoil the show a lot. Anyway, throughout the series, we see how he tries to balance his reign and control the threat from other rival families, and the families. Apart from that he manages his role as a loving husband and father. Anyway, we see many complications in these relationships and the burden of his responsibilities.
As a remedy for his anger issues, stress, and panic attacks, he gets therapy from Dr. Jennifer Melfi throughout the series. Their relationship brings a psychological aspect to the show.
The storytelling and the connection of the tale are top-notch. David Chase has nicely developed the characters, and we often see curious encounters. We see both loyalty and betrayal as well as ups and downs within both the organization and his family. And on the other hand, the support and looking after each other keeps them going.
The realistic and authentic portrayal of the cast is truly amazing. Especially James Gandolfini as the lead actor, played an once in a once-in-a-lifetime role, which had everything. For that, he won three Emmy Awards, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, and one Golden Globe Award, which shows his success.
Apart from him, Edie Falco rocked the role of Carmela Soprano, winning three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress. Apart from that many supporting roles, won awards and high praise. Even minor characters added value to the show. Overall it won 21 Primetime Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards.
So, there's nothing more to say, as this can be regarded as one of the greatest and well-writtnshows of all time.
So, that's it for today!! Until the next time! Enjoy!
Thank you.
Best Regards!
