Hello Steemers,
Near-death experiences (NDEs) are a really interesting topic. Recently, I went through a video followed by a research paper. So, I feel to share my opinion about NDEs. They happen to some people when they are close to death, and they often claim they have seen different different things which cannot be explained through the science. These experiences happen to people from various ethnicities and are reported from different countries.
As a follower of Buddhism, we believe in life after death until we attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana. According to my religion, everything that happens to us is because of karma. Most other religions also believe in life after death. I read in one place that Indonesians bring bodies from buried places after 1 or 2 years, dress them up, and bring them to their houses, believing it will lead to a happy and wealthy life in their next life after death.
NDEs are unique to each person. Most of them report seeing a bright light coming toward them or gods in the sky. Some claim they have seen their loved ones crying, while others say they have gone through a tunnel to another new world.
Scientists have different ideas about this phenomenon. Some believe it happens due to a lack of oxygen flow to the brain, while others think it is a stage between consciousness and unconsciousness that has not yet been discovered by science.
The most common thing about NDEs is that after these incidents, all the people who experience them tend to become more religious, and their views and passions change suddenly.
The world is full of mysteries that have not been explored yet. NDEs are one of them, which still do not have a proper explanation from science.
