FAVOURITE CHILDHOOD MOVIE| Steem Sri Lanka: Contest Series – Week 04 | Kya Yehi Pyar Hai - Is This what Love is?

Actor in leading role named AFTAB and actress in leading role named SANDHIYA. The film narrates actor of the film AFTAB as a romantic guy, who is in love with a stone hearted and career centric girl SANDHIYA for four years and not daring to reveal it to her, but madly following her everywhere. Sandhya is not even aware of aftab's let alone affection for her.

Her father named RAJ working as police inspector in a role of drunk, cruel and sadistic human being, with no respect for anyone . When he came to know about hero's evil intentions, he locked him up in a jail after beating him up publicly and sent his daughter to another City. Aftab's brother working as a doctor was very much concerned about Aftab's future and he managed to get him out of jail with the hope that his brother might have got some lesson. But all in Vain. As he kept obsessing over Sandhya regardless of her indifference.After coming out of jail, he headed towards the new city where sandhiya was sent by her father. During his stay there, his brother died in a car accident and he could not attend his brother's cremation.

On being back, he was shattered by his brother's death and he realised that he is wasting his time and spoiled his future. So he decided to focuss on his future and fullfill his brother's wishes . When Sandhya eventually realized and confessed her love to him, he rejected herconfession.

This movie was released in 2002 and I watched it few times in 2004 and than in 2005. It became my favorite childhood movie in 2005. Because it was in 2004 , i had started developing similar feelings for someone who was not aware of it. And i found, hero in the movie doing actuvites similar to that of mine. And the reason for it becoming my favourite childhood movie one year later, that is, 2005 is that, it was one day, when the girl i was feeling affectionate for, has visited our home and we both were watching this movie together. She was sitting by my right side. It was winter and weather outside was cold. We both were warming our hands on same firepot.

Fifteen years have passed and memory of that day, to be specific those three hours is as fresh as if i have just finished the movie and now i am writing about it.

My story is better than that in the movie because i am in relationship with that girl now and we are hopefully getting married next year. And it took me not only four but seven years to express my feelings but our story has nothing negative impact on either of us. In movie both of them ended up getting nothing. We hopefully will get everything and in best possible way.
