Well today I 'm going to tell you about a movie I watched yesterday. So when I finished watching that movie I thought I should write something about this. The topic of this film is about something so timely. We will be very disappointed in ourselves at the end of this film. Today I am talking about the Tamil film Mandela starring Yogi Babu under the direction of Madonne Ashwin from India. First I will tell you the story of this film.
There is a poor village called 'Churangudi' in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. The people of this village do not even have any facilities to take care of their sanitation. But the people of this village live in a caste system. Within this village they are divided into two groups namely North and South. These two groups are always trying to outdo each other and no one wants to be second to anyone. But the chairman who governs this village has a great desire to reconcile these two groups. He also marries two wives from the North and the South to keep them balanced. They also had two sons and they continued to fight over this quarrel. Due to their quarrels, the school in the village, the only toilet and other things were destroyed. It is because of their arrogance.
One man lives in this village. He lives as a common man to both villages. He is a casteless orphan and everyone despises him because of that caste problem. But he cuts everyone's hair regardless of one's race or birth. Although he is a barber, many people in the village make him do their work like a slave and then insult him.
But a big change is happening in one place in his life. The newcomer to the post office Tenmoli gives a new name to this man who has no name, no village and no identity, and creates an identity for him .After this his life will change due to the election coming to that village. I will end the story here. I invite you to watch this film if you have time.

So, as I said earlier, this film has to show the weaknesses of the present day society. We can laugh at ourselves while watching this movie. Many people who still live in this world do not know the value of their vote. We see the price that many politicians are trying to pay for it every election season. There are plenty of people among us who use their vote for a small advantage. Later, they realized the stupidity they had done, but after the election approached again, they were repeating the same mistake before being deceived by the flattery of politics. This film is the best way for such people.
There are many people among us who divide people by using things like caste and religion and take advantage of them. In this movie suddenly a proposal was made to start a factory in Churangudi village and the two sons of the chairman of these two villages are contesting as candidates due to the commission money they get from putting it up. It is not for the benefit of the villagers but for the benefit of politics. Needless to say, we are having a very good experience today. Somehow this election started the election campaign inciting the villagers that they should win their own caste.
So these ignorant people also forgot their problems due to their empty measure and started advocating for caste. Think about who really benefits from these things. Somehow the people were tricked into giving money and exacerbating a trap they could to persuade the villagers to vote, but both candidates eventually ran into serious trouble. That is because the number of voters in their small village is the same in both villages and their number of votes is the same, so there are no winners. Then they make an amazing effort to find one vote. Meanwhile to the man in the village called 'Barber' or 'Smile' received their identity card under the new name of Nelson Mandela. So now he too is a voting person with a resident identity in this village. So the two candidates who heard about this went beyond each other to get his one vote to secure their victory and somehow persuade him to their side to win. They brought him various gifts. He was also given the false honor of being deceived. He too fell into that trap. But his friend and Thenmoli understood what was going to happen. They told him of the impending calamity, but he was reluctant to accept it because of the short-lived comfort he received.
But unfortunately one day he will understand all that. Then he loses his privileges as well as those who are with him. Just as there is a silver lining in every dark cloud, he realizes his value through certain events after each loss. After that he did not care for his personal welfare but used the value of his vote to fulfill the needs of all the villagers. Finally, it was election day in the village. The villagers began to use their votes. Mandela also cast his vote. There was one rare incident here. That is, the people of both villages returned the money given to them for the election to their candidates after the election.
.
So when it came time to count the votes, both village candidates brought their own assassins. Because they thought that if any candidate lost, that defeated candidate would have to kill Mandela. But in the end something different happened. Mandela, who was without anyone, eventually fell in love with all the villagers. Everyone in the village stood up for him. Protected him. Candidates' assassination plan failed. In the end, Mandela was able to unite all the people who were divided by caste in both villages.Candidates came there in anger because their plan was in vain, but when they saw what had happened, they were frightened and went back.
In the end, Mandela won the battle and became a real Nelson Mandela. So that's the story. At the end of this, the director releases the result in a few words. What he used instead is quite heartening. In the end he said that
we have a winner in one election and that winner is none other than Churangudi village.
So in the end, generations of people who went blind after the caste system came out of the darkness because of Mandela's actions. They understood their real needs. In fact, in the end, their village won.
So we really need to understand this truth. Can't we also get these benefits by using our vote correctly? Can't we unite and end the thug politics that works only for their benefit? Really can. We will have a similar victory when we identify the real needs instead of the coloured parties and stand together for us. Although the story is in India, I think this is very timely for our country as well. In fact, we should use our vote for real change. I have not elaborated on some of the scenes that take place here. Many of its scenes are very relevant to our current society. Therefore, I invite you to watch this film and inquire wisely.
Thank you
