Better life at a children's home

Day before yesterday, when I introduce myself to steemit community, it refreshed my memory. During my university life, I was able to join with a bunch of friends with kind hearts.

Usually we had semester break during vesak season. Every year we get together and decorate kithulampitiya children's home which is managed by Department of probation and childcare services.

There were around 20 children. Some of them were there from the birth. They don't know what's the wrong they did. That is not their mistake. But somehow they are the one who are facing to this bitter life.

However, as a responsible citizen, we can do some small small things to make them happy. Happy to say that they don't have a exact religion and kind hearted people don't forget them at every religious event mostly. I was able to with them not only for vesak season, I joined with them during christmas since I am a member of Leo Club of University of Moratuwa. Once they made donation for children during christmas season. Now I'm going to share experience with them during vesak season.

Exactly I was able to spend another day with full of happiness. There we made different vesak lanterns and decorated everywhere with coloured bulbs. We were there from to morning to till evening.

And also, we repaired pipe network and rain water gullies on that day.

Can u imagine our happiness and their happiness. Can't express with words.

See there are lot of small small things to make them happy. They are another set of our new generation. They are not prisoners. They are children. I think you all can do this kind of acts to make them happy.
