New start | 5% for Sl-Charity

I thought about trying a new thing. It’s not a new thing for lot’s of Sri Lankans, but I haven't tried it. These days vegetable prices are rising very rapidly. So I thought about growing some vegetables. It is beneficial for our health also. If we grow those in our home, we can have fresh vegetables without chemical fertilizers.

We have a land that we use for nothing. It was like a jungle until today. Since I do not have much time to set up the land, I hired 2 men to remove unnecessary plants and set up the ground. They have done the job for a really low price. If i have done it, it may take weeks as my opinion. I should really thank them for their effort.

One of them was the father of one of my best friends. He taught me lots of things about farming. He promised to help me. He said that our land is very suitable for farming. I’m really happy about it.

By the look of it, Sri Lanka is going to face a lot of economic troubles in the near future. We have to act smart to keep standing without failing. We have to survive somehow, right?

I hope to continue this without using chemicals. There are so many organic things that can be found around here because there are lots of trees. Water is also not a problem for us. So I really think my effort will be successful.
