On Vesak poya day, Sisuru baba's mother mentioned about very helpless family nearby our area. So, I thought helping them would be a meritorious activity for all of us with the help of our charity project. I did this charity event for SL Charity Announcement done by @randulakoralage.

First, we went there and understood their situation. The family is 4 kids and their mother. One of that children is learning in the same class as Sisuru baba’s sister. Her class teacher initially mentioned the situation and asked for help. That’s how we got to know about this family. They live with the help of surrounding people. So, this charity work will help you all on some occasion in your life.
Sisuru baba's mother and father helped me with this project to buy necessary food items for them by coming to the supermarket with me. So, I would like to thank them for helping me and mentioning this helpless family.
Almsgiving is one of three charitable deeds taught by lord buddha. One of the great professors at the University of Moratuwa did a video explaining the benefits of almsgiving. I will attach this video to the post so you can listen to it.
On Vesak poya day we made Vesak lanterns to show our gratitude. In past years we made lots of them but this time we only made a few. I will attach those here for you.
