Hello Steemers!

For those who don’t know what a usb hub is, it’s an adapter that expands the usb ports of a computer. If we have limited usb ports in the computer, we can purchase an usb hub according to our need.

There are different types of usb hubs in the market. The quality depends on the product brand you choose. There are some Chinese products that don't work as our requirement. So, it’s important to get the most suitable one for you. There is a meaning for the word suitable here. It should go with your requirement. Usb A ports can not deliver optimum performance if so many items are plugged into it. Just think about a pen drive, headset, speaker and a rgb light plugged into it at the same time. For my case it works. Because I have only 4 usb ports in my hub. But there are versions having about 10 usb ports. In my opinion, those will be very slow for data transferring like that.

My windows laptop only has 3 usb A ports. But I have to plug in at least 5 items at the same time. That’s why this plays a major role for me. For my macbook, the situation is very different. It only has 2 usb c ports. Since i do not have any usb c accessories, i had to buy a separate usb hub for my macbook. It’s from the ugreen brand. It can also expand upto 4 usb A ports and one hdmi port. It is very important for me to have a hdmi port. That’s why I chose it for my use case. The power delivery is very high in usb c ports. So, plugging in all the ports does not give me any error in my macbook.
