Bella’s first long journey

Bella is only six months old now, and when we found her on roads she was around only 10-12 weeks old. Out of the three months that she spent with us, the only trips she took outside from house is her visits to the vet. I accompanied her all the times and she behaved well when traveling. She was busy settling in my lap and looking outside throughout the ride.

When we shifted from our home to Wellawatta, it’s like 2.5h journey, so we were wondering how Bella would react to such a long journey as she had never gone on a long journey. Mimi was kind of used to these, so we were not that worried about her. Since I was the one who travelled with Bella all the time, I took the responsibility of Bella for the ride and akka, mimi’s. Bella actually did better than Mimi. Mimi usually wants all the space in the world. Even though it’s a car, she still rotated her three round before sitting down. So she would walk all over akka before sitting down 😅 I didn’t have that issue because Bella is tiny and she doesn’t have the habit of rotating before sitting.

I would say, both of our girls did pretty well. They would look through the class when they are curious and they would sit when they are tired. Other than changing their position from sitting and standing, they didn’t do anything to trouble us. We stopped from Moratuwa to buy two kennels for them, but they waited patiently even during that time. So Bella’s first long ride was a huge success!
