Company dinner

The other event that came following Christmas and New Year is the company dinner. Even though I used the term “company dinner”, this too was for the academic staff and two people couldn’t make it since it was at night. Our manager had made a reservation earlier and was determined not to tell us where we were going. We blindly got into his vehicle without even knowing where we were heading.

He had selected Beach Wadiya in Marine Drive which used to be a famous place in earlier days. They had posted old new papers articles related to it and well-known people who had visited it such as political figures and sportsmen. That place is famous for seafood since it has access to fresh ingredients. So we ordered sea food palettes.

We got a table where we had a good view of the beach. Their light decorations were so nice too. The place does not rush with ordering and serving, they take time for us to give the opportunity to properly relaxed and enjoy the atmosphere as much as we like. We even roamed here and there and found previous tsunami indicators there.

We were more like friends and family than colleague, and this is the best staff that one could get. We took time chatting, cracking jobs and stopping people who attempt to talk about work. All of us laughed how we act like school kids who had gone for a school trip since we ended up taking pictures of everything. I know that even if I get a better job at another place, the staff won’t be like this💖
