First Inauguration ceremony representing the academic staff

There is a variety in my days with the new things happening around my final year at uni and my work life. The college where I’m working started a new programme recently and we had the inauguration ceremony for that. This was my first time joining an inauguration ceremony as a member of the academic staff instead as a student.

Ending the day by capturing the look of the day!

Everyone was very busy with the preparation and we had to work till late night the previous day. I had to study even after working time because I was having my exam. But I wanted to dress nicely since it was a new experience and a special day for me. I hosted the ceremony and another girl, and I was a pressured a bit thinking that I can’t afford to make any mistakes cz I was representing the staff. Everything went smoothly and I got to experience another new thing too.

It was an automotive programme, so we had made plans to take the students to micro cars whom we had partnered with to conduct the practical sessions. Since I was curious about the place, they asked me to join them as well. It was a huge workshop with different sections, and we were only allowed to look from the balconies since we were not wearing safety kits.

Even though I was so excited about this tour, I soon had a trouble. It was the heat inside the workshop, and it was not really good for me with my saree and make-up. We spent a little over hour there and came back to the college.

We need to replant it in a nice spacious pot after this grows

We had some work to do even after the ceremony was over, so everyone was pretty tired towards the end. Then is when we received a little surprise. Since everyone had worked so hard for this, we were all given a little cactus plant to keep on our desk and we were given two days to work from home instead of reporting to the college unless and otherwise we gotta classes to conduct. The cactus plant may be a little thing, but it felt good that the management acknowledged our hard work and appreciated it. I personally saw it as creating a healthy working environment.
