Sit ups is one of the most easiest and useful exercise that we can do specially to have a strong core. There are different variations of the sit ups which enhance its difficulty level to give more exercise to your core, abdominal muscles and obliques. So today I’m gonna share some simple variations of sit ups which you may find little difficult than an ordinary sit-up. So the first variation that I am going to share is crunches

Crunches

You need to lie flat on the ground, bend your knees 90 degrees upwards and touch slightly your ears or hair while the bending elbows pointing sidewards. Once you are stable with your position, raise your torso up. But you don’t need to come closer to your knees, you just only need to come halfway up and then lower your torso to do the starting position. If you are unable to decide to which length you should raise your torso, here is a little tip for you. Raise your torso until you can see your bellybutton and then lower your torso again. Repeat this procedure slowly for more effects. And another tip which will ease your repetitions is that raise your torso while exhaling and lower your back while inhaling.

Okay let’s jump into our second variation now which is bicycle crunches . So now the difficulty level has been increased a bit but trust me guys I will be a piece of cake once you grasped the correct technique.

Bicycle Crunches

Lie flat on the ground and stretch your legs. Bend your right knee to 90 degrees and try to bring your left elbow near to it at the same time while twisting your upper body. Then lower your back to the starting position. This time bend your left knee and try to bring the right elbow. Go back to the starting position again. Then repeat this process. Remember to exhale while raising your torso and to inhale while lowering it. This exercise is really good for your mid-abs, lower abs and obliques.

I am gonna push you guys little bit further now as it is v ups .

Lie flat on the ground stretching your arms and legs. Okay now you are going to lift your legs and hands upwards at the same time trying to touch your toes. Remember to keep your torso, arms and leg straight. Then come back to the starting position. Repeat this procedure. The breathing pattern is as same as crunches and bicycle crunches. This exercise will strengthen your core like nothing!

The last variation of sit ups that I am going to talk today is alternative toe touches.

Alternative Toe Touches

You need to lie flat on the ground again stretching your arms and legs. Lift your right leg up and try to bring the left arm up at the same time as if you are trying to touch your right toes. Then lower your torso and come back to the starting position. This time, lift your left leg and try to bring your right arm up as you are trying to touch your left toes. Come back to the starting position lowering your back. That’s it. Repeat the procedure. This exercise is really good for your obliques and it will give you a nice waist line.

All these exercises together give a good workout to your upper abs, mid abs, lower abs and oblique which will help to burn the fat around your belly. Plus, they will enhance your core strength. Most importantly, they are fun and that’s why I am addicted to them so much. You just only need to select the right song and let the rhythm get into you.

You think the variations are over? No way! This is only the beginning. There are lot more variations of sit ups awaiting for you to lift your bar of difficulty level. But I’m going to stop from here today.

Seeing this, I remember the days I did 120 situps per day. Not the normal one but another one, I don't know the exact name. But now i have gained weight again. So sad🥺😢
