By being a bookworm myself, I can relate and vibe with another bookworm without much effort. I have made friends with book lovers because of this reason. And a cousin of my friend is one among them.
I just randomly got a chance to talk with a younger cousin of my friend one day and we quickly started to talk about books. Ice breaker question regarding books is asking one another’s fav book. So we started to talk about our fav book. She told me that she is a huuuge fan of Ponniying Selvan series but she had only read first two books. When asked why she hadn’t read the rest of the books, she told me that she could not download the English translation of the rest of the books. We talked some time and then parted.
I was tryna download some novels for my courses and the above conversation came into my mind. I knew few websites to download books since we have to deal with many novels for the semester. So I tried those websites and was able to find the English translations of the PS 3,4 and 5. I told this to my friend and asked her to send those pdf to her cousin, but instead of that, she told me to send the pdf by myself telling that her cousing would love it. She was over the moon when I sent them to her specially because she didn’t expect me to do such a thing. It instantly made us good friends or rather a big sis and lil sis.
She was literally crazy about Ponniying Selvan series and had been waiting for months to watch the film based on that. I have heard a lot about it for like four months to the point I felt like PS 1 is a very familiar thing. So she made me curious about the movie and I thought of watching it. Unfortunately, we two couldn’t watch it together since we two live in two different provinces. But two of my friends wanted to watch the movie together which I willing agreed upon. We planned to watch the movie after lecs.
I even wore a dress for the movie and my batchmates were a bit surprised by it because I mostly turned up for lectures in my track kit after training 😅
The movie was confusing because it rushes to include the content of first two books within three hours. But I could clarify my doubts through my friend’s cousin, but still I have to wait till part two comes to see the ending.
The best thing about PS is that it found a good friend for me.
