My Biggest Babysitter

My roomie told once that, “You have baby sitters everywhere” and the one whom I’m gonna write now is the biggest babysitter out of them. She is my bestie whom I have mentioned several times before and this is one more post related to Flying Shoe meet.

My bestie told me that she would come for the meet to cheer for me plus and act as my person physiotherapist because she was still worried about my injuries. I was worried at first because she doesn’t know the location and she does not usually travel alone, and I won’t be able even to keep touch with her in the morning because I would be busy with organizing work. But she still reassured that she could manage and she kept her word. She turned up exactly after the opening ceremony. And she didn’t turn up empty handed, she bought some gifts to cheer me up for the event.

I could only think of only few meets where she was not there. We competed together for many meets and she came to support for the meets that she didn’t participate. She became the usual support system in this meet too. She made sure that my injury didn’t get worse by relaxing and treating my muscles before and after the events. It remembered us of our old times where we competed together. We rarely compete together now since we only participate for university games.

It was still fun amidst all those chaos to have her beside me. I could consult her about my hairstyle, my mismatched socks ( I was in a hurry in the morning, so I have worn two different socks), taking juice breaks and rushing to take pictures whenever we could. There is no surpise when my roomie referred to her as one of my baby sitters. It was a bit later when all the work was over and she helped with cleaning too. So I suggested her to stay in my boarding with an ulterior motive to hang out the following day and. I’ll tell about our date in a future post.
