I’m not someone who likes to eat rice and curry for all the three meals, so my used to cook something light for breakfast whenever I visited home for weekends and holidays. Now I am at home continuously, cooking something else for me alone is giving too much of work for my mum as she has to prepare rice and curry for grandpa anyway. Thus, I assigned the task to myself. Yet, it usually takes some time for me to come into senses after waking up and I’m usually lazy in the morning if I don’t have any serious work to do. So what I eat on repetition for my breakfast these days doesn’t actually need “cooking” really because my lazy self could only afford to spend few minutes for the task, plus my morning hunger can’t wait for much longer.
My fav is fruits and yogurt because it’s the easiest and fastest and I don’t really need to do anything except for cutting the fruits. But not only that, I get filled with the fruit portion than eating rice and curry, at the same time I feel lighter too. I will be in a good mood after that thinking it will be good for my skin and health.
However, fruits won’t be enough for the days that I’m extra hungry. What I would do on those days is making what I called as tuna salad omlette. I’m not a fan of vegies but I’m trying to increase my vegie intake. I would throw lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoes, onions and banana pepper together with tuna to make a salad and turning it into an omlette with eggs. My hunger vanishes to the thin air even with a small portion of this.
Another dish for extra hungry days is dosa which is the only dish I’m frequently making that needs actual cooking. Somedays I would try instant paratha too, if I have them at home. but I will make sure that I always have a dosa mixture at home.
What I eat the second frequent next to fruits is yoghurt and cereal since that too doesn’t need any effort at all. However, the frequency depends solely on when I get my hands on a good cereal that I like. Luckly, I found nestle food cereal which I like, so I’m often eating it now.
These options already scream my laziness, but there are days it hits its climax. So what I do on those days is just putting whatever I could find in the fridge onto plate and consider that as my breakfast.
Lazy as they might sound, I quite enjoy my breakfast than other meals because these are to my likins and I can adjust the menu to my mood.
