My Mini Library 💕

My mum was complaining that I treating my bed room and study room as a boarding place by making them a mess. I have no complaints about her complaints tho, bcz my book rack and study table were literally a mess. So I thought of rearranging my book rack with an ulterior motive; which is to do my customary year end book count. I like to count the number of books I have read for the year at the end of it. But to do that, I need to unmess the mess I had created in the book rack. And it always feels good to go through my lil babies; my treasure...

My ancient books

But still I was bored at clean ALL of them. I have put the books we read when we were kids at the back of the rack. I thought of letting them as they were. And the front area of those old books is a shared area. Left side is for mum's and sister's sinhala novels and right side is for mine. Actually that whole area used to be mum's and sis. But I was facing a serious space issue, so I begged them to move some of their books to their other row, and give me some space from this, to which they reluctantly agree. Yet, I didn't have enough space to keep them vertically, so I just kept them horizontally. These books are a mixture of different genres such as horror, psychological thrillers, Sri Lankan English novels, Greek so on and so for.

Mum moved some books from this row and gave me some space.

The next row is my favorite which consisted of classics. Majority of them are Collins classic and then penguin classic. I vibed a lot with 17th -20th century novels more.

My fav author is Jane Austen and I have five novels with me out of her 6 novels. I was searching for the missing one, but it wasn't there when I had money. The book is available now, but it costs around 3k now 😢

And the next is Shakespearean dramas. I'm kinda satisfied with that collection because I have all my fav Shakespearean dramas with me atm. I only have 7 of them here, there is more in my boarding place.

So this is my mini library. But considerable number of books should be added to my collection. I think I have around 10 books in the boarding, and there are around 15 -20 books which I have taken as print outs. And there are some books which I have lent.

What I could find from my boarding

Looking at my book collection makes me motivate to study well because the books I wanna read are so expensive now. But I always feel contended about my little collection. So this is my mini library and thanks for joining my library tour.
