Whenever I go to a theater, there is something that I always think of and that is their freezing air conditioners. I think I can’t be the only person who find them to be very cold. Most of the times, I get goosebumps not because of the plot but because I’m freezing there. I’m someone who is very sensitive to temperature and if it is too high or very low, it makes me uncomfortable. Theaters (specially in Colombo) is one place that the ac is too strong for me. That makes my attention divert from movie to the coldness. I made it a habit to bring either a scarf or a cardigan along with me if I’m going to a theater.
Scarf at service
I select a cardigan or a scarf that matches my outfit. If none of them match my dress, I just put it inside my bag and use when it’s needed. So I can be comfy without worrying about strong ac. My friends sometime make fun out of me that I carry a scarf with me like an old woman, but some instantly regret teasing me after realizing how handy a scarf can be when they also found the place to be very cold. So odd this may be sound, having a scarf or a cardigan has become a survival scarf for me.
Can't forget my cardigan too
And I think I have started to pass this habit on to others, specially to my big sis, who is more sensitive to cold than me. I won’t be the odd one then when my gang also pick up this habit from me 🤪
