Parenting parents

When I come home in the weekends, I always tell my parents I'm going home bcz my babies are waiting. There is my grandpa who gets an existential crisis if he ran out of cream biscuits. There is Mimi who goes hunger strikes if he thinks he is done with chicken and he wants pedigree. There is mum who likes the sweet supply at home when we are at home and who wants to give us over n over again what happened at home in that week. Dad is waiting to get troubled by our loud smiles and talking. So we are going home to satisfy all their needs to parent our parents, spoiled Mimi and grandpa.

When I went home two weeks ago, mum and dad were waiting for some other things.

This time my babies want yo watch thorana. It was one week after Esala poya and I didn't think thorans would still be there. I don't like crowded places and specially to step outside at night when I'm at home. But we had to agree because they were looking forward to watch thorana with us. But it was my dad only who wanted to watch thoran, mum was after another thing. She wanted streetfood.

There were three thorans near our village, and one place had even displayed four omens and hell. Those places were still crowded even though it was the 7th day.

There were lots of street food to the content of my mum. She was a happy kid after she got some parcels of street food. She was done with the task for the day. Dad wanted to cover all three places and we did to make him a happy kid too. We came back home after both of their aims were fulfilled.
