Preparations for Dina’s b’day

My big sis’ bday fell on this Tuesday and I was supposed stay at home this week. When I asked about bday celebration, she told, “Let’s do something in the weekend when I come home. No need for you to travel to Colombo just for this, since you rarely get to stay at home.” But I was settled in my mind that I would travel to Colombo for her b’day.

She went in Monday morning as usual, and I didn’t join her cz I was under the pretention that I was staying at home. So I only started around noon from home to go to Colombo. I thought of buying a pair of shoes for her and my friend remembered me that I bought a pair of heels and a blouse for her in her last bday too. I didn’t wanna repeat the same gift, so I was thinking on my way for gift ideas. What I finalized was an eye shadow palette and a new lipstick shade. I decided to go to One Galle Face since there is a Viana stall. I found the exact lipstick shade I wanted and a nice colour combination of eye shadows that I knew my sis would love. I saw a nice cardigan in Jia Moda and I bought that for her.

My big bro reserved a restaurant table and my duty was to buy flowers. There are lots of shops that sell flowers for functions nearby boarding, so I started lil early from boarding. I selected some varieties of flowers and asked them to make a bouquet from them. I liked how that bouquet turned out.

Not soon after I bought flowers, I felt something strange with my footwear and realized that its heel was slightly loosened up. It was a pair of low boots and I only wore it like four times. There I was with a shoulder bag and a gift and a flower bouquet in my hand plus a loosened heel. In an ordinary day, I would buy a sandal from a nearby shop. But I was carrying too much in my hand that day, so it will be troublesome to find a shop and buy one. Secondly, I already have too many pairs of slippers, so I didn’t wanna spend my money since I used my savings to buy bday gifts. I came to the conclusion that it would be okay because only 1/4th of the heel is loosened up. I got into a bus to go to Pettah and saw that half of the heel is loosened up when I got down from the bus. I called my big bro and told him the situation and he told me that there is a person who fixed slippers near the place we planned to go, so he asked me to get it fixed there. That person was there luckily to my relief. And I was happy mastering balance when I was training because I had to keep my bare feet on the top of the other foot and stand from one leg. I didn’t wanna keep my bare foot on the road even though in the pic it looks like I’m keeping my feet on the road. It was a lil awkward when people keep looking at me since the flower bouquet interested much attention. However, my minor crisis was solved after this.
