Racing for the meet

Flying shoe is an annual meet in our athletics calendar which is conducted by the Track and Field team of our university. It's an invitational championship where we invite universities of Moratuwa and Wayamba. We could not hold the meet for three years due to the pandemic. And finally we are conducting the meet for the fourth time after a break time.

Work in progress...

It was a challenge for four of us captains and the main organizer to plan the meet when none of us have ever been to it. Financial situation is another big challenge as it was hard to find sponsorships in an economy like this. However, we were able to pull off all those challenges and manage to plan the meet.

Doggies for our company....

We don't have lectures because the academic staff is striking. But we can't go home due to the preparations for the meet. And we don't have much of our team members in the university to help us. We were in a dilemma whether we could conduct the meet but somehow or the other we slowly progressed with our work. Pavilion is our usual place where we meet for discussions and preparations.

Displaying the name is a tradition that we follow whenever we are having meet.

We are done with most of our work now since there is only four more days ahead. Fingers crossed hoping everything would work well at the end.
