A Trip to Galle

Since I’m live in the middle of the country I love to visit beach side. We had few reasons to go there. I went to Galle a long time ago. And also, there was another reason for this trip. It was that my husband lived in Galle when his childhood. Actually, his mother’s hometown is Galle. So, after our wedding we wanted to visit his relations as well. Then we planned this short trip.

In those days were rainy days. Hence, we couldn’t be able to go anywhere in morning time. So, we had to stay in my husband’s brother’s house until the rain stopped. After the rainy hours, we went to his relative’s homes. I have never gone to see them before. So, it was my first time. Though I have visited Galle before I have never roaming there. Hence this was a nice experience for me.

Before to this travel, I thought that Galle is land without having any mountains. When we went to visit some relatives, I saw that some people had built their houses in higher places. It reminded me the Kandy. However, it became a nice experience for me.

After that visits we went to Galle Dutch fort. We walked along the streets there and went to the lighthouse. I have never seen a lighthouse before. Hence, we have took nice photos there. In the evening time it was a crowded area. Many people came and enjoyed themselves with their loved once.

I think the fort is very beautiful in the evening time. The evening sky and sea make a beautiful vibe in there. We went to Indian Hut to eat some India food and we ate Naan with butter chicken. They are very delicious. Lots of people came to this place to eat Indian food.

So, after having our dinner we went to eat ice cream. The name of that shop is Isle of Gelato. It is a beautiful place and they have made some photo location area in that place. And also, there are different varieties of ice cream there. Actually, I have never seen some of ice cream before. However, we bought two types of ice cream flavors. They are also very delicious. But the prices are really high.
