A Trip to Kandy

Hope you all are doing good. Today I’m going to share with you a little trip that we have gone a few months ago. We always love to visit the beach side and apart from that we love to visit places with the mountain views. So, this time we selected Kandy. We have been to Nuwaraeliya before but couldn’t stay and walk around Kandy.

We selected the public transport of train to go there. We thought it would be easy for us. When we went to Colombo port railway station, we saw lots of people were gathered to travel by train. Especially to Kandy. Because the session of Siripada visiting was started at that time. Unfortunately, it did not come to our mind. Otherwise, we could able to book the train before. However, we started our journey to Kandy.

It was around 11.00 am when we went to Kandy station. Before visiting other places, we went to the Temple of Tooth first. We brought oil from home, then we only bought flowers. I have been there before with my family. But it was the first time I went there with my husband. After doing the religious things we went to the Kandy city to have our lunch. Then we went to Kandy City Center. It just like the Colombo City Center but not bigger than it.

After that we went to a friend’s house in Peradeniya. Their house is situated near to Ranabima College. After spending a few hours there, we came to our hotel room. We have selected the Mount Blue Hotel since it is having a magical mountain view. This place is so beautiful. I felt it was like a heaven in Sri Lanka. I will share another post by describing all the things about that hotel as another review.

We stayed there one night. After having our breakfast, we got ready to come back to my parent’s home. While on our way to Kandy city we went to the Kandy viewpoint. I have never been to that place before. You can see the beautiful Kandy city in this place.

So, after that we went to the Kandy city center again to have some refreshment. Actually, the Kandy city is very similar to the Colombo port. It was that much of a busy area. But it is more beautiful than Colombo. I fell in love with this beautiful city.
