Escape To The Hills – Day 02

I have shared with you the experience of the Day 01 of our trip through the previous article. So, this is about our second day. We woke up early to see the morning view of this beautiful environment. I hope you may have heard about this place, Little England, before. All the houses are built according to the British style. So, I feel like I woke up in England. I have never been to England, but I have seen some photos and videos. If you have come to this place, you feel the same what I have felt.

So, we waited for our breakfast. We went to the garden until breakfast was ready. I saw the flowers have been blooming. Different colours of Roses, Daliya and lots of beautiful flowers were there. Actually, I don’t know the names of some of them. The breakfast was made by a chef and the menu was a British type one. All the buildings and the environment and also the food in here will give you the feeling of you are living in the England. Actually, it was a nice experience for both of us. Since we only booked this place for one night, we had to say good-bye to this place and we were ready to went our second place.

We went to our second place and its name is Omaya Hills. We kept our bags there and went to visit some places in Nuwaraeliya. The first place we have visited is Haggala Botanical Garden. We took a bus to go there. Though I have been there a long time ago, my husband didn’t come here before. So, it was his first experience. We have covered many of its area as much as we can. The most attraction place for me is the rose garden. Different kinds of roses and different colours of roses were there. We took many pictures in there also.

The next destination for us is a strawberry farm. The name of that place is Adma Agro Strawberry Farm Shop. We thought we could harvest some strawberry from this place. Unfortunately, we got to that they are not allowed to do that. However, we brought ice cream and it is covered with strawberries. And also, we brought Jam in the flavors of strawberry and black berry one and two packets of strawberries.

Next destination was Nuwaraeliya town. We went to some shops, and we went to the Victoria Park. Actually, it was my first time visiting this park. It is also very beautiful. We didn’t spend much time on this place because we wanted to visit Gegory Park as well. When we went there, so many people were gathered to this place. There was a carnival in this place. There are lots of street food shops there. You can eat different kinds of buns, burgers, hot dogs, jumbo sausages and many things. We sited in the green garden and get some rest.
