Today I’m going to write about nuts. Different kinds of nuts provide different benefits to us, and they contain different nutrients. Though it is, people do not often eat them. Sometimes it may happen due to the difficulty of finding those and people are not aware of the value of them. So, let’s have a look at them.

Cashews are the easily find nut is Sri Lanka when comparing to the other types of nuts. They are rich in a range of nutrients and contains protein, fat, carbs, fiber, copper, magnesium, manganese, zinc, phosphorus, iron, vitamin K and B6.

Considering the importance of eating them, they help to lose your weight, improve your heart health and also control your blood sugar. You can eat them by making curries, roasting, adding them to different kinds of desserts, adding them to smoothies and many more.

2. Almonds

Almonds are another delicious nut and highly nutritious. They are native to the middle east. After removing the shell, you can eat the edible nut inside raw or roasted. Not only that they are used to make almond milk, oil, butter and flour.

Almond contains fiber, protein, fat, vitamin E and B2, manganese and magnesium. Apart from that they are rich in antioxidants. Therefore, it helps to protect against oxidative stress. Not only that, but they also help to avoid cancer. Since they are having vitamin E, they protect your cells from oxidative damages. Almonds help to control your blood sugar and lower blood pressure. And also prevents harmful oxidation of LDL cholesterol.


3. Hazelnuts

Hazelnuts are cultivated in Turkey, Italy, Spain and US. They are rich in nutrients, and they can be eaten raw or roasted. They contain protein, carbs, fiber, vitamin E, Thiamin, magnesium, copper.

Since they contain significant amounts of antioxidants, they protect your body from oxidative stress. They help to decrease blood cholesterol and inflammation, lower the blood sugar level and protect from cancers. Not only that, but they also improve your heart health as well.
