Memories of Ingenium 2017 | 5% for SL-Charity

In our university life we do academic activities and also extra-curricular activities. I think they also important. Sometimes this kind of activities may reduce our stress. So, when talking about the Ingenium it is an annual talent show which is held by Faculty of Information Technology of University of Moratuwa.

This function is a collaboration function and all the students can participate for this. From super junior batches to super senior batch’s students are participated for this beautiful event. In our first year I also participated to a group dancing event. Some of batchmates have performed drama, songs and participated to the music group.

Actually, this is a fun event. When we practice for doing these things there is a fun. We have to find free time slots to practice. Some days we have to practice till night. Though other students participate theses event or not most of them are came to support others. Some of them support by providing music and helped to find the costumes. And also, for the drama. Some of friends are helped for doing the decorations.

Actually, due to this event, new friendships are made. Not only in our batch but also in other batches. Since we were freshers, we didn’t know much about our friends. So, this event gave a support to close to each other. We get to know about our senior members and also helped to create friendship as well. Another thing happens with this event is the everyone works as team. Due to this kind of events, we were able to develop our soft skills also just like team working, leadership, time management and lots of things.

At the end of the day, we all happy about what we have done. There is a happy in all our hearts. We have entertained a huge crowd. It is not easy task but with the team working it can be done. But all of these events and other extra-curricular activities have to be canceled due to the current country situation. I think it is huge lost for the junior batches. They can’t get those experiences. However, I hope for the next year this will not be canceled. Will see what happen in the future..
