Hello my steemians,

Hello my dear friends, how are you? I think with the start of a new month a lot of new hopes have filled your mind. Having been busy on duty for three days, I was able to get a few hours of rest today. As a person who loves the environment, I had the opportunity to travel through another beautiful village. Today I hope to present through this content to comment on some of the beautiful scenes from that beautiful trip.

I do not think twice to observe the weather in the surrounding area before leaving for any trip. Because if the weather is heavy with rain, we will not be able to make our trip very well. This helps us to enjoy our trip without any hassle during dry weather. I decided to go through the village of Wanduramba in the Galle District of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka.

I woke up in the morning and after all the work was done I left the house for the tour. Having the opportunity to connect with nature with the start of a fresh month is a great opportunity to keep my hopes alive throughout this month. Since last week there has been dry weather in the mornings as well so the mind as well as the body does not feel cold. However, the fresh coolness provided by the tree-lined environment avoids all inconveniences. The village of Wanduramba, about 25 km from our house, is a place that connects with natural objects such as paddy fields, tea estates and small forests.

There are small and medium scale tea factories in this area. The photo above shows a recently closed tea factory. With the corona epidemic many industries suffered a tragic fate. I think the factory above may have suffered the same fate. Arriving near this place in the morning the photo taken is not so clear.

April is a special month for Sinhala citizens living in Sri Lanka. The Sinhala and Tamil New Year, traditionally celebrated by Sinhala and Tamil citizens in particular, falls in mid-April. It is during this period that the customs of the past are celebrated in the same way today. I hope to introduce those customs in a separate content in the future. The paddy harvested from the paddy fields is converted into rice and then turned into milk rice, which is eaten by all the members of the family at the same auspicious time from the New Year's table. It is our duty to further develop the tradition maintained by our past citizens.

In the blue sky, white clouds could be seen, and you could clearly see the small, densely forested area behind the paddy fields, glowing green. It’s hard to even imagine how wonderfully calm my mind was when I saw it. Landscapes with such beautiful color combinations found in nature bring us refreshing emotions.

As the day drew to a close, intense heat fell on the whole village. As I walked along the small roads, I did not feel the heat because of the shade provided by the trees and the fresh breeze. With the onset of April, the leaves of the trees begin to glow a fresh color. Only a very small group passed through this road. So I realized that not many people live in the village. I was able to understand that they are people who live a very simple life.

The unique experience I got from this trip was that it gave me the idea of walking through a small forest. I say that because of the feelings I felt while walking in the environment surrounded by big trees. I must have had such a feeling because I had the experience of traveling through small forests before. Surrounded by various types of trees and vines, this environment is a great relief to the mind as well as a great relief to the body.

During this time the leaves of the trees grow new and you can see how they glow in the light green. How do you feel when you see this beautiful environment that glows dark green and light green? I would love to hear your thoughts on that.

The beautiful pattern created by the white clouds in the blue sky is very comforting. No matter how tiring the day, seeing such beautiful scenery will surely put out our tiredness.

Gradually I had the opportunity to see someone in the middle of the village. Banana seedlings were found in a small area cleared in an area of large trees. Thus, it can be seen that the people of this area live by cultivating various crops. In the conversation I had with them I realized that they live very simply. They are people who have a great desire to live with small goals without chasing big desires.

Walking a little further I was able to reach an area like a small mountain. Looking down from the top of the small hill, we saw small tea plantations. Accordingly, the people of this area are living on the income earned by working in the tea estates. The whole environment was adorned with lush greenery from the tea estates.

The people living in this village have been able to earn an income by working in the tea estates and cultivating intercrops. Given their simplicity, it is commendable that they can use their entire income to make a living. The fact that people in urban areas pursue big goals while living in urban areas is a testament to their simplicity in earning enough money for their daily needs. I was able to gain some more unique experiences through this trip. I end this content here in hopes of joining you on another exciting tour like this. Thanks for visiting.
