We had our parliamentary election a few days ago. In this election, the political alliance, “National People’s Power” achieved a great victory. Amid this victory, I saw a very special woman. Her name is Ambika Samuel. What makes her story special is that she is the first woman from the mountains to join parliament.

She belongs to a minority nationality where life is challenging and opportunities are scarce. As a result, they rarely have access to education, Everytime an election approaches, politicians will arrive with false promises, hoping to buy their votes. Each election, most people in the mountains accept election bribes and end up giving their valuable votes to corrupt politicians.

But this time, things are different. Ambika was able to speak to them and unite the people against corrupt politicians, giving them a renewed sense of hope.

So her victory isn’t just a personal achievement, It’s a victory for all underrepresented communities.

Her story clearly shows her resilience and determination which are qualities that are important to all of us.

I hope Ambika will be able to do great things to uplift their difficult lives, raising them to a better standard, while contributing to our country as an MP.
