Today is a beautiful day too. I was getting ready to go to work in the morning even though it was raining. As usual, I picked flowers from a pot, worshiped the Buddha and left for work. Today our task was to make a replica of the 27 feet tall Aukana Buddha statue at Kularathna Maha Vidyalaya, Poramba, Ambalangoda.
This is a profit for me. In the past, when I saw sculptors, I dreamed that I could help make statues like this. That dream has come true today. I thank Mr. Batapola Raju for giving me this opportunity.
I have worked with him in many temples. I consider it a privilege to participate in charitable activities such as Buddha statues, Buddha statues, Bodhi walls, stupas and relics. How happy am I to get a pin as well as a handful of money working like this? It is a great relief for me to have a job that will make me successful in this world as well as in the Hereafter.
