A Cute Companion

Now, it has been a while since this incident happened. This is about something special that appeared out of nowhere and became my responsibility. Usually, I am the number one animal lover in our house. Others also don't hurt anyone, but I am always ready to be dedicated.

However, I must admit, unluckily, all the animals in the world are not included in my list. My most favorite animal to take care of is the squirrel, though I lost a tiny squirrel that was really close to us. Anyway, this story is not about a squirrel, but about a timid rabbit that suddenly appeared in our garden.

I did not see it, but my uncle caught it because our dog is really good at hunting. He put the rabbit in a room at my grandma’s house. We didn’t know the owner, so we asked the neighbors, but nobody came to claim the rabbit.

The room was also empty, so we kept the rabbit there for a few days. It was my first time being so close to a rabbit, and I called him "Rabbitty Rabbit." My cousin sister also lives there, so it was a good time for her too. We both took care of his food and went to a place near our home to bring him leaves.

He knew my voice; whenever I spoke, he thought it was time to eat.

The fun fact is that he ate cooked fish and other stuff, but not carrots. I think that’s how he was raised by his owner. His favorite was "Kankun." I stored lots of "Kankun" in bags so anyone could feed him whenever I wasn’t home. When I returned, my first duty was to look for him.

We had a great time pampering him and staring at him because he was so cute. But sadly, nobody wanted to keep him at home forever because his life might be in danger due to the situation at home. My mother kept repeating about the germs and diseases we might catch, which is something she always worries about.

I asked for cages too. After all, without anyone’s support, I had no choice but to give him to someone trustworthy. I had a relative who already had rabbits at home, so we called him, told him to take the rabbit there, and take care of him.

That is how "Rabbitty Rabbit" remained a memory of him in our lives.
